My surgery went well and I got to come home the day after, just as planned. I have had more pain than what I had anticipated, I'm not usually a complainer, but this one has definitely caused pain. I have four small incisions and one larger one. The largest one is the most sore and bruised but it's fine. I go back to the surgeon in two weeks for a check of my incisions. I should have my first "fill" in 4-6 weeks. Right now the band does not have any fluid in it. We wait until the healing of my stomach occurs before creating a restriction. I'm having a very hard time trying to get in all of the calories and protein I need each day. I'm just not hungry. I have been running a low grade temp so I'm keeping an eye on that as well. We did go to the 4th of July parade yesterday, I way overdid it though and I'm paying for it this morning. The boys got tons of candy and Addy hated the fire trucks once again, can't say that I blame her! Why do they have to honk the horns?? The lights are on, that's enough! All the little kids freak out so why do it?? I'm packing Cooper up today so he can leave in the morning with his best friend, Adam, and his family. They are taking a trip up to the Mall of America. Cooper gets to see gorgeous Minnesota, where Addy is from! He's going to be gone a whole week! I'm going to miss him so much but I know he's going to have a blast! I plan on taking it easy today, I am worn out!

Glad surgery went well, sorry recovery isn't going as fast. We will pray that you are able to rest and recoup well and quickly.
So happy for you, glad it all went well! My sister had the surgery a year ago and it has been a blessing! Keep us posted!
I'm glad the surgery went well. Relax and enjoy this week with Addy. Hope you're feeling better soon!
I so agree about the firetrucks at parades---Erin can barely stand parades anymore!!
Hope that you're feeling better soon and let your son, Cooper, know that the Mall of America is where they are taping "Mall Cops." :)
I just found your blog. I'm glad I did, I've been enjoying reading. Addy is beautiful!
I have an 11 year old son with Down syndrome.
I had Lap Band just over a year ago and am down 135 pounds. Best decision I ever made.
