Back from California/LOTSOPIX!!!

Oh my goodness what a trip we had!!! Scott flew out about 6am on Thursday morning. We flew out at 7:40pm! We had no trouble on the flight, the boys LOVED flying and Addy did great! She hated Denver though. On the way there she screamed like crazy as we left and she did the same thing today. Both times she ended up totally crashing so I'm not sure if Denver should take it personally or just blame it on the fact that she is wiped out!!!

Friday we slept in and then I braved the highways of California and met the girls!!! It was so fun meeting Denise and Heather. I truly have no words! It was like we have always been friends!!! The girls really could have cared less but we loved it! I met Denise and Ella first. Ella is the most precious little squishable mush of love ever!!! I could have held her forever!! Fortunately, staying with true Addy fashion, she much preferred Ella's Daddy, so I got some Ella time! Addy is sooo boy crazy!! I did get some awesome pix of the girls, how cute are they???????

(you just said Aw, didn't you?)

Heather and Zoey showed up too so we got to get all three girls together!! Zoey is the tiniest little love oh my goodness!! She is the sweetest thing and so smart! I was afraid I was going to break her she's so tiny! She is longer and leaner than Addy by far. Heather says she is definitely breaking the mold of people with DS are short! I agree!! We all tried to get good pix of all of the girls together, not sure if any of us got any!! Thanks to Denise's husband Joe for being such a good sport about the gathering in the tiny little hospital room! After meeting Ella we all went out to eat. All of my kids, Heather's boys and Denise's girls, it was quite a group! My kids were so tired, but all in all they behaved pretty well!

(we got this look from Addy even before she had glasses!)

Saturday morning I saw Scott for about five minutes before he headed to work. He went on a late night run to get some more diapers for me. I had packed over 20 diapers and only had four left! The kids got on up and we headed to Huntington Beach. It was a gorgeous 72 degrees and sunny! We were actually cold! The water was like ice! I did not expect that in California!! The boys played in the waves forever! They had never been to the beach before, they LOVED it!! Addy wasn't too thrilled at first but then had a lot of fun playing in the sand. I love her little crooked pinkies so I got some shots of them in the sand, I think they are precious! Jarika really just wanted to lay out and tan. She attempted to get in the water but froze! Her face now looks like a lobster! The rest of us dodged the sunburn bullet though! Addy has had two baths and I'm still finding sand around her Mickey Button and in her diaper! We stayed at the beach for about 5 hours so we left just after noon. It was just then starting to get crowded , I'm glad we went when we did!

(a little cold huh Jarika?)

Scott was able to finally meet up with us last night! He took us to In and Out Burger, we don't have those in Missouri! Everyone loved their burgers! I just had the patty, I'm still too chicken to try bread yet! Then we went into LA. I got to see the Hollywood sign! Yeah! Not sure why I thought that was a have to thing to do, but that's what we did! It was really neat around there. We drove on up the hill and I really liked looking at the houses hiding up there, what cool places! We decided not to go see the Hollywood stars, walk of fame thing, we were too tired and we had to leave at 4am for the airport.

We had good flights home, just nearly missed our flight into Springfield from Denver, but it worked out and we are home. Tired, but home. Addy is so out of sorts! She would not stop whining and crying no matter what I did so I finally just layed her down. She is screaming "A Da Da da". I'm thinking she's telling Daddy that she is tired of Mommy!

Heather called me on the way home from meeting you. She said that if Ray was to meet Addy that she may push Zoey out of his favorites spot! That is pretty big!! She said Addy was the sweetest little thing ever, with a personality a lot like Zoey. Oh I wish I was there. Ray would have loved it to, because DS kids flock to him for some reason, and with Addy being a man-lover, she probably would have too!
I agree, Ella is the most squishy, kissable thing ever!!
