I was so amazed with my kiddos on the 4th of July this year!! Naturally my eldest ditched the family for the boyfriend (ugh) but she had fun so that's all that matters! We went to my brothers and ate good food, well, everyone ate good food, I just watched and really wished it was okay to eat the yummy looking bruchetta!!! Fresh tomatoes, yummy!! Soon enough I will get to eat again, I start "mushy" foods tomorrow. Mashed potatoes are my favorite so I am stoked!!! Anyway, Cooper usually stays inside during fireworks, they scare him to death. He is my kiddo with autism and the noise is a no go. This year he came outside with us! I was so amazed! My brother offered him some earplugs so he put those in decided he wanted to light fireworks too! I was so proud so proud so proud!!! He did fantastic with them!!! He was proud of himself too, I love it when he realizes he has accomplished something that he has always been leary of!!
Addy did NOT like them one little bit! Especially when they whistled she would sign "no" over and over! She did stay out with us quite a bit but once we started the bigger ones and the booms were louder, she went inside with Uncle Kent for a reprieve! I am so thankful that I have such an awesome family!!!

My sister-in-law's sister is an RN who specializes in wound care so she took a peek at my incisions and she said they all look great so that's good! I weighed this morning and I've lost a little over four pounds since surgery. The first 4-6 weeks after surgery usually isn't a real big weight loss time yet because the band is just there, not really restricting yet. I'm just really not very hungry so I'm not taking in enough calories. I know I'll do better when I actually have some food. Cooper is on a vacation this week with his best friend, Adam. They have been in South Dakota for a couple of days and headed into Minnesota today. He's supposed to call later, I can't wait to hear how much fun he is having!!
