I always knew I wanted to be a mom. I wanted to be a mom to 6 kids, I'm NOT giving up on that dream but I am so happy with my four for now!! Anyway I had to go to Springfield to see the doc this morning and grab a few things for our trip to California. I went to Toys R Us and got Addy a new umbrella stroller for the airports and to get around everywhere. Hers has about had enough and doesn't have a canopy like her new one. I think that will be a must in Cali!! I also picked up a travel pack of baby sunscreen, travel size hand sanitizer, and a new diaper bag that is sturdier than our big one and will hold more so it should be perfect for the plane!
I saw my surgeon's nurse practitioner and got good news! All of my incisions are looking great, no infections suspected. I was a little worried after the swelling and redness of one of them on Sunday, but it's fine now! I can also go into the ocean, yeah!!! I was a little concerned about that too but I am good to go!!! I have lost 24 pounds! (26 according to my scale!) I am feeling really good and so excited about my first band fill in three weeks!
After the doc I ran to Kohl's to grab myself a new shirt for our trip. I had the best time shopping! I never go by myself and thoroughly enjoyed myself!!! Why I went over into the toddler section is beyond me, Addy has plenty of clothes!! However, Kohl's carries one of my favorite brands and they had them on clearance for $2!!! Needless to say Addy has a few new thing for Cali! I then went to the Juniors Dept. and picked up some things for Jarika. The shorts I got her didn't fit but she loved the shirts I got her, that NEVER happens, she usually hates what I pick out! Scott never gets new stuff so I went and found him four new shirts as well. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a Mario shirt that I knew Cooper would love so I got it and another one for him since they were on sale. To make it even I headed over to Boys and found a couple of Tony Hawk shirt for Jake, he LOVES him. Everything I bought was very much on-sale and I saved over $213 on my purchases!!! LOVE THAT! So I come home and shower my kids with their new stuff that they LOVE and got many thank yous and hugs. I LOVE being a mommy! So much that I shopped and shopped and came home with this for myself:

Bummer on the shopping trip for yourself! YAHOO on the 24 (26 pounds) that is awesome. Have a safe & fantastic trip. Can't wait to see the pics especially of you guys meeting Ella & Denise & Heather and Zoey!
You sound just like me. I never buy myself anything and it makes my hubby crazy! Jax has way to many clothes, but we justify it by saying he doesn't play with toys so he gets clothes!
You sound just like me! I enjoy shopping for my family way more than shopping for myself! But, you should go back and just shop for yourself too! You deserve it! Have fun in California!
Is it by any chance Jumping Beans that you like for Addy....I am hooked on that stuff for Ella. I do the same thing...buy for everyone but me. Probably because I hate everything on me right now!!! Tell me what things you got for Addy....maybe her and Ella can match (although they won't get to be together :)
LOL, happens all the time!! My 3 boys have more clothes than I do (something's seriously wrong with this picture)!! Gotta LOVE the deals at Kohl's.....especially Tony Hawk, my boys are HUGE fans!

I'm exactly the same way. I always find myself looking for clothes for Beau when I try to run real quick to find something for us.
