Sorry, I am having a laugh on this one. I have found that if we laugh or make a big deal of something the habit stays around longer. I would just remove her finger, and move on maybe give her a verbal prompt if it doesn't add positive attention to it. Good luck,
OOO and I had to give to your sweet Christmas angel too.
I wish I had advice, but we are dealing with the same issue in this house! I think Sweet Pea likes the sound that it makes when she pops her finger out of her nose. I had been saying no fingers in nose, but she just gets a big grin and does it again and again. I think Rochelle is right about just having to ignore it possibly. Not fun! Let's hope both our girls stop this soon! They sure do look adorable doing it though! I need to get it on camera so I have blackmail material when she is older. ;-)
When Ella was going through this lovely stage I would just remove her finger and hand her a tissue and say "oh, did you need this for your nose?" she always says "YES!" and blows her nose. Even though I think she mostly picked her nose for the fun of it, not because she was fishing for anything. But, now she just asks for a tissue instead!
I agree that you shouldn't draw attention because it seems like they do it even more, offer a tissue and encourage her that way. But come on...she is cute no matter what she does.
