Well the Heflins definitely had an amazing Christmas! Addy was really tired when we opened presents but she still had fun. The kids got everything on their lists (pretty much) and were very happy! The boys even got cell phones this year which was a big surprise!
Cooper's was in the top of his stocking and he was shocked to see it. Jake started rummaging through his stocking and was pretty bummed that he didn't have one. That was until Daddy called it and his stocking started ringing! Priceless!!
Jarika is hard to buy clothes for but she loved everything I picked out this year!! Especially her jeans from The Buckle. I NEVER buy her jeans from there, that's grandmama's doing, way out of my price range! Since we actually saved for Christmas this year I was able to get them for her, she loves them!
Scott spoiled me BIG TIME this year! I got a Garmin GPS, remote start on my van (I had it on my old Expedition and have really missed it!), The Biggest Loser Challenge for Wii, a Wii fitness package thing with lifts for my balance board, hand weights, jump rope and other goodies, a purple Snuggie (with pocket!), and Wii Fit Plus!! They are all things that I have mentioned at some point and time that I wanted and he more than followed through!!! Scott had purchased himself a new TV a month or so ago so that was his present!
Yesterday afternoon we went to my brothers to celebrate with him and my mom. Boy did my mom shock all of this year!!! She always gives us money for Christmas which is awesome, however, she usually gives us a little something too. She usually does pretty good with gifts but there are those times when she gives us things like a Turkey Fryer. Not a bad gift but not something we really wanted. She told me last week that was giving us money and a little silly gift, no big deal. Scott, Kent, my SIL Jill and I all had the same bags to open and were instructed to open them at the same time. We started pulling tissue paper out of the bags and I was sure we were getting a book of some-sort. Figured it was an autobiography of someone. NOPE WE ALL GOT IPADS!!!! Jill and I realized it first and were screaming like crazy! Scott was letting Addy take the paper out one sheet at a time, he figured we were getting a political book so he wasn't in a big hurry to open it. When he realized Jill and I were very excited he pretty much pushed Addy out of the way and dug in! Talk about a major surprise!!! I've been playing on it when I can. I made the mistake of putting Apps on for Addy first. She's pretty convinced that this is her property!!!
Cooper got an XBOX 360 with Kinect, that thing is fun! Definitely will be working out with it as well as my Wii!! I usually workout in the morning before everyone's up and now I'm even more motivated since I have new games to play!
Addy is happy with new Sesame Street things. Her birth parents sent her three big books that all make music, she LOVES them as well! Thanks T and J!
