Yes those are tears, swollen eyes from crying and being tired and major drool from sucking our tongue.
You know how you build things up in your mind about how you think things are going to be? I have been looking so forward to meeting the Urbans for so long! I knew it was going to be so fun watching Ava and Addy playing together and laughing and smiling and getting all of those amazing pictures of these little adopted angels who are loved so much. Well don't get me wrong, I LOVED my visit. Addy did NOT! She pretty much cried or screamed the entire time! I was so bummed! I felt so bad for the Urban kids that just wanted to hold her and play with her and all Addy did was push them or scream at them! She had little periods of time where she would be within the vicinity of them and even was held by them for a bit then she would lose it again! Poor little thing! Charissa and I decided that it was a combination of being absolutely worn out, new people, new surroundings, having a major diaper rash from antibiotics for her ear infection and just not feeling herself. Addy warmed up to John pretty quickly. That didn't surprise me too much because this girl is boy crazy! Avery had a BLAST with Simeon, Jude, Liesel, Hope and Ava. I think he wants to live there, their house is way more funner than ours. (yes those are his words, I do know that "funner" is not a word!). He really enjoyed playing with Ava, he said he can't wait until Addy crawls around like Ava does because she's so cute. I even got to meet the Wright family! It's so cool to meet these people that you read about their lives everyday. I felt like I already knew them!

What a great opportunity! Too bad Addy wasn't feeling great. You managed to get some good pictures anyway!
Glad she is feeling better now that she is home - love that smile!
Looks like a fun time. I hope Addy gets feeling better soon!
What a great day. Aren't they always naughty when your looking forward to something? I know so many little girls that love men. What the heck is that about?
I envy you. Getting to meet up with blogging friends. That's too cool.
Hope Addy feels better soon. Looks like she was very happy to be home!
What a great experience for you! Sorry Addy didn't think so! Home is the best place to be.....Gavin would agree with Addy on that one!
How fun!! We just got to meet some blogging families a few days ago as well. Isn't it pure joy??!! I don't think I could ever get enough of visiting these people that you have become such great friends with before ever meeting in person. I am glad you were able to have this experience. Even if Addy wasn't her wonderful self. Ella acted a little similarly when we visited friends as well. She is NEVER like that...I hope it was a one time deal because we have plans of visiting some more real soon!!
You have great kids. We miss you all already. We will definitely need to try again, maybe on your turf next time. Then again, she had really warmed up by this morning so maybe next time she'll be thrilled to see us. Oh, I hope. I love her!
P.S. It's so weird seeing my kids on your blog! ha ha.
So is she back to her normal self now, of course?
Ah well, Meghan would do what Addy did, she never enjoyed visiting people either. Sensory overload. I am so happy to see families meeting and the pictures are so precious, I do not suppose we will meet another adoptive family here, we do not know of any in Tucson, at least not from the blogs we read.
How cool that you guys got together! The girls look so sweet!Hope Addy is feeling better!
Amy
So glad we got to visit! Sorry things didn't get much better for the rest of your stay. Let us know when you're coming again so we can visit longer.
How adorable! Looks like they had a fabulous time together!!!
Hope she's back to herself in no time:)
