I LOVE Christmas but I am so glad it's over! I guess because I like to get my house back in order and that really isn't happening yet but it will! Addy started off with a tummy bug on the 22nd through the 24th. She shared it with Cooper and me. We were really appreciative! Fortunately we were able to keep Addy hydrated enough we didn't have to go to the hospital! That is always a GREAT thing! On the night of the 23rd, I was dozing on the couch watching the 10 o'clock news when I heard a thunk and then Bella (our dog) started barking a bit. Scott came upstairs and asked what it was. I told him I thought that something hit Jake's window. I really must not have thought much about it because I dozed back off as Scott headed out the door. A couple minutes later my cell phone went off, it was Scott telling me that he was one street over and needed his ID, he left it on his desk. I'm like "okay?". I was a little disoriented! I hoped in my car and as I backed out of the garage I saw eggs all over our driveway, yard and the boys' windows! Awesome huh? I got to Scott and handed him his wallet. He was standing by his car and there was another vehicle close by, he had caught the people that had egged his car and our house! It made for an interesting evening! Yes we knew the culprits, and it's out of our hands. Fortunately since we heard them Scott was able to get all of the egg off of his car and the majority of our windows and I don't think there was any major damage. Poor Cooper got woken up and he saw the police car outside and freaked out on us, I felt so bad for him, he was scared.
I was sick the majority of Christmas Eve and really felt yucky, fortunately we didn't have any family plans until Christmas Day! The kids got us up around 7 and they were happy with their gifts. Addy really could have given a flying flip about them though! She just kept giving us the paper like "get this away from me!" That afternoon we went to my brothers for an afternoon of presents, snacking and games. We left before the adult games started, poor Jarika's ankle was throbbing and she was more than ready to go home so off we went. All in all it was a wonderful Christmas and I'm looking forward to having this week off. The big kids and I are headed to Springfield later to go to the dentist, do a little shopping and we're going to see Alvin and the Chipmunks with my gift card I got at the white elephant exchange! I didn't really get it, it was stolen from me but that's a whole nother story!

Poor Addy's exema is on a rampage right now. Her little face looks awful! We are treating it but she's also cutting teeth so she's drooling like crazy which doesn't help matters! Doesn't she look adorable in her little jammies Santa brought? What little girl doesn't need a tutu??? (Yes she hated it and kept trying to pull it off!)

OMG, you seriously never have a dull moment.
sorry you guys were sick. No fun!
That pic of Addy in her new PJ's is so cute, I love her little feet. Could just kiss them!
Can't believe the egging - what were they thinking?
But your kids look like they had a fun Christmas. Love the jams Addy!
What a rough night. Hope everyone is feeling better and you enjoy the rest of the week.
The jammies are so cute, Brooke has the same pair!
Does Eucerin Ointment help at all with the drooling chapped face? I keep slathering it on Lindsey's face and it has really helped.
Addie is really cute in her new jammies. I think I have those put away or Liza somewhere, really hope she likes a tutu :)
Way to go catching the egg throwers. must have been a mess! Ick....
I have an idea for treating the excema. It is a crazy idea but just follow me! What we do with the children I work with is we put Lamisil around their mouths. Yes, the cream that is usually used for nursing mothers. I was doubtful at first, but it is great because it is a barrier ointment and the drool slides off but it lets the skin heal! Whatever works!
Does Addy take claritin?
Several of my kids have raging eczema and our Ped. started them on Claritin once a day and it has really helped keep the flare ups in check, and when they do happen it's alot less severe.
I even have to use it for V, he gets the syrup form in his G tube every night before bed.
