Dream Night at the Zoo

Is this not the cutest face you have ever seen? Avery named him RJ, hmm, I wonder why!?!? If you haven't seen, Over the Hedge, I recommend it, it's hilarious, definitely a family favorite!

Every year our local zoo (well in Springfield anyway) has a Dream Night for children with disabilities and their families. Admission is free as is feeding all of the animals, the train ride and the petting zoo and some special reptiles that we could pet along the way. Since last week we went to every park in Orlando I wasn't sure we would be up to going but we did. It was a pretty nice night considering it stormed quite a bit today! The boys had a blast, and yes Avery finally got his Mohawk, thanks to big sis Jarika! Like Scott said, "It is summer you know". I have to admit, Avery wears it well! The boys had a really good time feeding the animals. Addysen wasn't so sure! The goats ate off of her tray on her stroller and she looked at me like "What in the world was that?" If you look closely at the picture of the giraffes, yes she fed them! She didn't care for it because she was really enjoying flapping the leaves until this huge giraffe came and stole it! She dove right into my chest then and pouted! It was so cute!

These river otters, were so cute! They were posing for pix I'm pretty sure!

See Addy's little hand and that huge giraffe tongue! :)

She has now gone two whole days with no oxygen during the day at all. Not even during nap time! Every time I checked on her today her pulse ox was 97 during sleep! Woo hoo! I think we'll get off it at night soon too! It is so nice that I am home for the summer now! I love that I can be a full time mommy! I am working two days a week during June, but it's not that bad considereing I'm home by 2. Addy's surgeon saw her Tuesday and couldn't believe how well she has healed from her analplasty and the way she has progressed with her motor skills. He said that she is an angel miracle from God. I so agree! She is our little angel that has blessed this home for 10 months now! I can't believe we are so lucky to be her parents!
