My Mathlete

This Cooper of mine! I'm so proud of him! He had regional math team competition this morning in Bolivar. There were 20 kids from Marshfield competing and several of the kids got awards, very proud of them! In the Concepts division, Cooper came in third place and qualified for State competition!! Way to go dude!

Ahhhh

It doesn't take much to make this girl happy but I am extremely happy! Scott and I had decided that we were going to use our tax refund to replace some appliances. Our washer and dryer have literally been living on their last little legs. I do laundry daily, with 5 1/2 people (Jarika's only a part-timer now!) there's really no way to keep on top of laundry without doing at least a load per day. Since getting our return we haven't really had time to go and look for appliances. Scott had gone with the boys and had me look at some of the ones he liked. I'm not real picky but I definitely wanted a major upgrade! I have a friend, Carey, who has a (chromosomally enhanced angel too) whose husband works at builder supply in Springfield. I contacted her to see if we could ask for him to give him a commission. We weren't sure when we'd make it in, our month has been crazy busy, but we said we would go when he was there. Well on Saturday (while Scott was camping) my washer decided to really bite the dust, water everywhere! It wasn't turning at all and it was a mess! I posted on facebook my dilemma and Carey said that they were actually selling their set that they've only had about 6 months. I hopped on that one!! Look at my new babies!!!

I am such a happy girl! The washer is going 90 to nothing and I don't hear a thing! I may stay up all night doing laundry. It's the little things in life isn't it!?!!?

Cooper's Birthday!

My oldest son turned 12 on the 19th of this month. Many of you know I was out in Cali for his bday but we celebrated a little before I left and then he had a party with friends last night. Before I left we treated him (okay we treated us too) to Orange Leaf, it is sooo yummy!!! My kids LOVE it! He got everything he wanted for his bday and I made sure he had his presents before I left :) While I was away, Scott took him shopping with his bday money and he got even more, he was a happy boy!

He decided that he wanted to have two of his friends over to go to Incredible Pizza and spend the night last night. Since Jake was well behaved while I was in Cali he got to invite his best bud as well. I have very few pix of the kids playing the games. (I didn't get permission to post other kids' pix anyway). Addy absolutely lost it, she was screaming and crying, it was pitiful. It's very loud in there and there's lots of flashing lights and commotion, she was not happy at all so we just waited in the dining room while the boys had fun. She actually enjoyed interacting with a face painting clown! She gave Addy a tiara, so sweet! Scott is out of town so we weren't able to tag team like we usually do. The boys had a really good time and only one complained when we needed to leave. The friend that complained is pretty selfish and not at all understanding, it's quite frustrating. One of Cooper's friends had never met Addy before and he was absolutely precious with her, melts my heart.

We came home and had Cooper's amazing cake from my good friend Annie once again! Her 21 Cakes are so delish and she donates 10% of all orders to our local Down Syndrome Group of the Ozarks! She made a Pokemon cake for Cooper with his two favorite Pokemon, she did an excellent job once again! Thanks Annie!

I'm so glad that God blessed me with my Cooper, I have no idea what I would do without him!

Cali, LOTS O PIX

Addy and I are home from our whirlwind trip to California. I'm so glad we were able to go, we had such a great time! Addy was wonderful the entire trip, she and Zoey got along beautifully. Zoey LOVED playing with the Ipad, Addy did a very nice job sharing! I think I need to find a way to get an Ipad for Zoey, I know she would be able to do wonders with it!

and her sister's boyfriend, Matt! She also really enjoyed dancing and playing with Zoey's brother's, Jake and Joe. Heather got some great pix of Addy with Jake, I'm going to have to copy those!

We are so tired now that we are home but we both slept well in our own beds last night. I had to work extra today for parent/teacher conferences, I'm so beat!! I only took 75 pix on my trip, I'm so disappointed in myself! I don't think Heather and I got pix of the girls in their matching shirts either!! Guess we'll just have to get together again!!!

At Ella's party on Saturday, we were all in heaven! What amazing beauties we got to spend time with! I don't know about you, but I truly think that children with Down syndrome are so beautiful. They are really breathtaking. I mean look at this:

Ella's party was at a place called Sensory Time, very fun! Some of my favorite moments at the party were getting to meet Jax and his family. I have loved Jax for so long, his sweet little face has had me from the first glimpse! Addy thought he was pretty cute too :)

And I tell you what, little Miss Arina is soooo precious!!! She is such a tiny little peanut! She loved being cuddled, several of us were happy to oblige! I'm sure hoping that her daddy shares some pix he took (that's an obvious hint Lacey!) I got to meet Sweet Pea and her new baby sister Angel too! Soooo cute!!! Little Faith stayed with Ella so I got to meet her too! I met people that hadn't even been exposed to yet! What blessings!!!! Isn't blogging wonderful??? We tried taking a picture of all of the kids together. It was pretty much like herding chickens! We were all laughing so hard! The pix aren't great but you get the idea!!!

On Sunday we braved the torrential downpours to go to City Walk to meet up with Denise, Stephanie and Jenn! We ran into Hard Rock Cafe since it was the closest restaurant out of the rain! Talk about surrounded by cuteness!!!! It was raining so hard!! It was cold too! It was about 30 degrees warmer here in Missouri!
